I have been told that my ancestor Reinhard Bernard Walland (also known as William Walden) was either raided or killed by the Quantrill Raiders. I was trying to find out if there was any validity to this claim. All I know about him is that he he married Margret Fry and they had at least one child named William Walden. I also know that Reinhard died when William (who was born in 1857) was an infant. I have found a census locating Reinhard, Margret and William together in 1860. Is there any way that I can find out if Reinhard was raided or killed by Quantrill. Thanks.
