F. M. Hill, Private, Company G, Gordon's Regiment, Missouri Cavalry,* enlisted August 18, 1862 in La Fayette County by Capt. Bullard for 3 years, recorded on the February, 1863 Regimental Return as on Extra Duty as a Teamster, Company B, no further records

* This regiment appears to have been variously known on the filed as 1st Regiment Missouri Cavalry, Gordon's Regiment Missouri Cavalry, and Shelby's Regiment Missouri Cavalry; but it was designated by the Confederate War Department as the 5th Regiment Missouri Cavalry

Mary Q. Hill, widow of Francis Marion, filed Texas pension application A-39339 as a resident of Collin Co.

He died February 3, 1920, Mary quoted his service as from May 1861 to May 28, 1865 with rank as Captain
