Re: Will You Explain this card, please?

I suspect that it refers to a Federal report by a Lt. Col. Boyd concerning the rebel Capt. Robinson.

I have checked the Official Records, Vol. 3 which covers this period in the Arkansas/Missouri/Kansas/Indian Territory with no results for a report by a Col. Boyd, nor information on a Confederate Capt. Robinson.

OR Volume III. 1881. (Vol. 3, Chap. 10)
Chapter X - Operations in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Indian Territory. May 10-Nov. 19, 1861.

….

Here are the only two Col. Boyds I could find in Federal Kansas units:

Marcus Boyd
Enlisted as a Lieut Colonel
Field & Staff MO Greene H-Gd
Greene Co Home Gd MO Infantry
( 3-mos )
Organized: on 5/1/61

……..

Sempronius Hamilton Boyd
Enlisted as a Colonel
* Colonel (As of Co. 24th MO Infantry)
Field & Staff MO 24th Infantry
Field & Staff MO Greene H-Gd
