Bruce once you pull up a land patent or grant there is a check box list about half way down the page with a list of the parcels included in the patent. Click on a box to put a check mark in it and the map immediately below the list will show the township and section. If you look on the resources page it will describe land aliquot lingo better than I but in essence the map will show you the section which is 1 mile square. (Dark orange is the section light orange the township square) A quarter of a section quarter equals 40 acres, you can come pretty close to figuring where the property is.
