Thanks John. I have previously located 17 of the St Joe lists at MO State Archives site, from Jan 1864 to Feb 1865, including 10 lists starting with Sep 1864 date of capture. Had found the last 2 lists you mentioned, but not the first for Nov 1864. Since these are not indexed and dispersed throughout the files in fairly haphazard fashion, I still plan to go back through and troll in a more systematic fashion to assure myself I have done a thorough search.

The lists can be daily, weekly, monthly, bi-monthly. What we do know is that the Miscellaneous Papers card you found for me names the source of the card as "Number of roll: 4, sheet 2", so the person making the card (Boyd) was looking at a St Joe prisoner roll. Whether that particular roll ever got microfilmed onto Provost Marshall records remains to be determined via this search. Thanks much for your continued advice.
