Great!! Thanks Danny! So if I am understanding this correctly, Meriwether Clark's artillery brigade in early May seems to have consisted of Landis's battery, Clark's battery (now led by King) and Guibor's battery. If I've gotten my facts straight the other batteries in the Army of the West at that time had the following assignments:
in Price's division:
Wade's battery - Little's brigade
MacDonald's battery - Whitfield's brigade
Kneisley's battery - Green's brigade
in Jones's division:
Lucas's battery - Rust's brigade
Bledsoe's battery - Maury's brigade
Gaines's battery - Roane's brigade (at the moment under Lieut. Col. Ben Danley as Roane was in Arkansas)
in McCown's division:
Goode's battery - Cabell's brigade (after Hogg died)
Provence's battery - Churchill's brigade
And the rest apparently went with Maj. Shoup (Baker's Tenn. battery, Gorham's Mo. battery and Bryan's Arkansas battery) or to Gen. Bragg (Barret's Mo. battery). Does that sound right?
And thanks a million for your help Danny.
