Thomas Malone, Private, Company D, Steen’s Regiment,* enlisted March 1, 1862 in Texas County, Mo. for 3 years, died C[amp] Mazard, Fulton County, Arkansas, November 5, 1862

* The 10th Regiment Missouri Infantry (also known as the 1st Regiment Missouri Infantry and as Steen’s Regiment Missouri Infantry) appears to have been organized about November, 1862, by the consolidation of Steen’s and Pickett’s and Wlaston’s Regiment Missouri State Guard Infantry, Coleman’s Regiment Missouri Cavalry, and from Colonel Johnston’s Cavalry Command.
