Harry J. Simmons was a drum major with the 17th Georgia Infantry, Benning's Brigade - ANV, and was captured at Gettysburg in July 1863.

In July 1913, relegated to a wheelchair due to his war wounds, Simmons attended the Gettysburg 50th Reunion. He was a member of UCV Camp No. 731 in St. Louis.

I am seeking his dates of birth & death, and location of burial.
