I was working on a project circa 1999/2000, and exchanged correspondence with Dr. Castel regarding the Frank Smith memoir. He was good enough to provide me a transcription of a portion I was inquiring about. Just a few lines. He seemed to be very protective of the memoir. That opened a relationship wherein he later had some early tangential involvement with the University of Arkansas Press in my book on Sam Hildebrand. I'll see if I can find his correspondence regarding the Frank Smith memoir.
