There is a mention in the May 1899 Moberly newspaper that his estate is valued at $9,000. This fits with a death notice that he died 28 Dec 1898 in Higbee, MO.
He was a son of Adam Wilson of Sevier TN and Dicey Cannon Wilson. They are both buried in the Wilson Cemetery in Randolph County. "Located in T53 R14 S16 on the north side of Rt BB just west of CR 2470 There is not much left of this cemetery. Only Adam's headstone, Dicey's footstone, and pieces of unreadable stone are left." Adam and Dicey were slave owners on the 1860 slave schedule.
