I hate to be a pest, but I am calling for help again .
My research shifts to guerrilla, Sam Hildebrand and his "affiliation" / involvement with the 15th Missouri Cavalry, Co C led by David Reed. Through the use of the books, "Autobiography of Samuel S. Hildebrand" by Kirby Ross, "The Sam Hildebrand story" by Pitter Seabaugh, and the Missouri SCV roster of the 15th, Co. C, I found that William Cato, George Lasiter, Dick Cowan, Bill Rucker and Tom Hale rode with Sam Hildebrand AND were also all together in this unit. Was Co. C in close contact and / or helped Hildebrand at different times? Did Co. C act as Hildebrand's "gang" at any times?
How deeply was Sam immersed into this unit?
