Re: Col. John Boone of Price's staff

The Springdale News from The Siloam Springs Herald
Sulphur Springs, AR
September 22, 1893

Col. John C. Boone died at Sulphur Springs Tuesday at the age of 77 years. He was a grandson of the great Indian fighter, Daniel Boone, and was a member of General Sterling Price's Staff during the late war and was in active service during the whole war.

Richard: I suspect (know) you have this. A coupe of published Boone family histories have middle name as Coburn vs Coulter and vice versa. The obit would make his date of death Tuesday Sept 19, 1893.
