George was in the 3rd Mo Volunteer Cav. Native of Saline county enlisted Aug 19,1862 appointed Sargent. Served with Shelby until captured at Newtonia, exchanged at City Point April 1 1863, assigned to Capt Payton 3rd MO Vol Cav CSA. In hospital absent since July 1864.
