In Response To: Re: 2 Northeast Missouri Cavalry (Franklin's Regim (J.D. Burgher)

7/28/62 Porter suffered a serious defeat at Moore’s Mill 7/28-but then regrouped and continued to send men to army. Many of his men wound up in Clark’s infantry regiment.

Aug 62–noose is so tight that few were able to get thru to main army so many in that time joined Major Snyder’s Bn which, soon after disbanded. Brooks and Craig were Captains and Co cdrs while serving temporarily in Snider's Cavalry Bn.

Below is the gist of the information on the events cards for the 1st NE MO Cavalry (Franklin's).
(The information was very sketchy and almost non-existent and there are probably some transcription errors.)
CO D – Card date: Aug 3, 1862: Enrolled by Col Porter for 12 months. Henry Snider inspected the rolls and certified them. Monroe CO, MO (Capt Wharton P. Well’s CO)

11/10/62 #38 Dist of Ark-Craig, Bowles, Hughes and Bonds’ Co’s of Mo infantry will report to Gen Parsons and Col Clark will assume command of them and march them to Fort Smith tomorrow and report to Gen Roan who will also place Clark in command of Buster’s Bn
Clark will organize the 4 Co’s named and Buster's Bn into an infantry Regt consolidating any of Busters Co’s if necessary.
….
Many of the recruits of Craig, Bowles, Hughes and Bonds’ Co’s had belonged to cavalry units formed by John A. Poindexter, Joseph C. Porter, and Henry Snider north of the Missouri River

In "Confederate Organizations Officers and Posts", David W. Craig is shown as Capt of Co A Snider's Bn Missouri Cavalry

Can anyone help me figure this out?

I believe I’m getting closer, thinking that Durant Green Brewer belonged to “Col. Boone’s Missouri Mounted Infantry”. And was transferred to...could it have been-“Snider’s Battalion, Missouri Cavalry” under Clinton Burbridge, Adjutant or, J.Q. Burbridge?

--Snider’s Battalion, Missouri Cavalry, Confederate, no Company named: Clinton Burbridge on roster with rank of Adjutant. Note at site: (Also nicknamed the "Northeast Cavalry Battalion")

…Jackie, this is all to say that I strongly believe that your ancestor was recruited by David C. Boone in his home county and taken to Colonel John Q. Burbridge's regiment nearby where he was assigned to Snider's Battalion inside Burbridge's regiment. I avoid mentioning the number designations of Confederate regiments recruited in southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas since they changed several times during the war, and even the experts disagree about them.

James E. McGhee. Guide to Missouri Confederate Units, 1861-1865. Fayetteville, AR: University of Arkansas Press.
9th Regiment (Clark’s)

The organization of this regiment resulted from Special Order No. 38, District of Arkansas, November 10, 1862, which directed John B. Clark, Jr., former commander of the 3rd Division, Missouri State Guard, to take charge of four companies of Missouri recruits (A-C, H) and march to Fort Smith. Many of the recruits had belonged to cavalry units formed by John A. Poindexter, Joseph C. Porter, and Henry Snider north of the Missouri River the previous summer.
