E.R. Worthington is Elisha R Worthington born Ohio 27 Feb 1844. Died Apr 1902, Cochise County AZ. He served in the 143 Indiana Inf in 1865. Apparently he was enlisted for a short time in Co K, 49th Indiana Inf in 1861. He served as commander of the GAR post 312, Edmund KS per roster of 1887. He was appointed postmaster in 1878 at West Union, Norton KS. Married an Lucinda Hemphill in Indiana in 1865.
