Thanks for your reply. I'm aware of the publication of the diary of Mary Louisa McRoberts Black, the introduction was written by my Mother, Marguerite Watson Black. After her passing in 2007. I made sure her papers and research was kept. And now am following questions she wondered about, and now with the gift of extensive digitised on line internet resources, can find answers she had no access to.
Our curiosity of the slaves outcome, the deed record for property in the Salt River district.
I'm just now , after searching in the Guerilla war in Missouri, interested in the civil war in Missouri for the Black and McRoberts in-laws and kin. grabbing time to focus on that research.
