I am doing all of this "tracking" because of one man I am doing the research on. He was in Bangs 12th MSM, Co. G and Bangs 5th MSM, Co. D. They both show the exact same date going into the 5th MSM.

One last question, please...was all of Companies G and A in on the McGee attack? I hate trying to figure out how many men were in on something because you can read two reports for one battle. For example, you can read a report for a battle where one officer will state "Company X" like it was the entire regiment. Then read another report where it was only 25 men of Company X. So one report makes it sound like the whole company and the other will state clearly it was only a few men.
