Okay, I found them in Soldiers & Sailors. The Purcell Scouts were not Company F, 1st NE Missouri Cavalry; they were Company L, 1st NE Missouri Cavalry. (The Company F came due to an erroneous company listing for a soldier on file at the Missouri State Archives). So....I took the names from the memoir list and ran them through the Soldiers & Sailors database and came with a number of hits; on the ones I came up with hits on, I cross-referenced surnames and found additional members of the same company (knowing that when somebody enlisted, they generally did it with a relative).
