Most references to Confederate casualties at Centralia just make brief mention of two or three injured or killed--no names are usually mentioned. In 1888 Frank James gave an interview with the Nevada Mail in which he mentioned not only numbers, but also names.

"Todd had two men killed and one wounded. Shephard and Kinney were the names of our dead. The former was shot in the head and Kinney died from lockjaw resulting from a wound in the leg.

Anybody have any idea who Shephard and Kinney were?
