Kirby,

Thanks for the offer to send this to me.
I will gladly reimburse you for your shipping costs plus whatever you feel is right for the documents.
The easiest way may be a USPS flat rate envelope if the documents will all fit in one.
There are also flat rate boxes of various sizes.

When I have completed this research project, I will likely give the narrative to the Perry County Historical Society or the Lutheran Heritage Center & Museum, where I volunteer.

I was able to go by the library today to check on the transcription of the Hager Diary.
I was missing any entries for September 1861 in the two partial transcriptions that I have in my possession.
On September 23, 1861, Hager states that he got home from the Cape and the companies (Fremont Rangers) broke up.
Hager's service record on the Missouri Digital Heritage site does not give a discharge date.
By a remarkable coincidence, Warren Schmidt, a colleague of mine at the Lutheran Museum, mentioned in a blog a few days ago that Erich Pape of Bollinger County had served in the civil war.
Link to the blog: https://lutheranmuseum.com/2020/07/06/castor-river-baptisms/?fbclid=IwAR3D5rQ_I1rC75CgSOVnvC_y08fJZ2Gotd3TmKY8Or9_cxBamIGxZ3sRbnM
I checked Pape's service record on the Missouri Digital Heritage site and found that he served in Company B of Fremont Rangers until September 24, 1861.

Like the National Treasure movies, one clue leads to another. So my quest will continue.

Thanks again, Fred
