I finally got my rusty brain to connect a few dots.... Livingston had a nice book written about him by a direct descendent that I think was edited by Richard Peterson and Jim Mcghee. Don't hold me to that. The memory came when I ran across Livingston's notes about the Cherokee Spikes and the 1st Battalion MO Cav. The book is Such a Foe as Livingston: The Campaign of Confederate Major Thomas R. Livingston's First Missouri Cavalry Battalion of Southwest Missouri published mid 2004 I believe. I don't have a copy nor does my library. The book has a list of rosters in it with a goodly number of men listed if I remember correctly.
