Okay Fred, I have emailed them to you. If and when they are translated, feel free to post the transcriptions on this site. Might as well give the viewers of this site the benefit of the translations. The first one is from Krekel's newspaper--I think Krekel was in charge of the Federal garrison at Fulton at the time of the raid (mid-August 1862) so that article might provide insights. The second article appears to be a reprint of the first article, with an additional paragraph. Two other articles appear to be discussing events relating to the the Fulton Raid. I'll start another thread on the raid itself to see if more information can be found. Thanks much for your very specialized assistance.
