There is then 59 pages of letters fingerpointing and how dare he was released from various commands. He eventually was re-arrested in Columbia for "speaking insultingly of Union military". Actual warrant issued by Col James F Douglas, and stated arrest was for "had just returned from prison and used dis-respectful language towards the military".

J F Adams Asst PM of Boone county signed him off to Lt Col HT Russell 61st EMM for transport to St Louis on Apr 14th 1863. attached affidavit from Adams says several citizens came forward but none wanted to swear an affidavit for fear of Lampton.
The order for arrest came after an encounter with 3rd William A Lukens Co A, 61st EMM in Columbia on March 21, 1863. In his statement Lukens says Lampton refused to shake his hand, and verbal sparring ensued, Lukens eventually pulled his pistol on Lampton and marched off to headquarters.

Additional evidence with the second arrest includes a copy? (maybe paraphase by Adams) of his statement when captured fall of 1862.
