Re: Battle Death From Severe Bruising?

I think this is your guy Kirby

The connection appears to be through Rocky Fork Township. I believe he was a native of Kentucky, There is a Chilton that appears there and is also buried at Red Top Cemetery. Son of William Fountain Quisenberry of Clark Co Ky, Chilton appears to have located to the Hallsville area about 1855 shortly after his marriage. Age would indicate a cousin perhaps.

There is also a Colby Quisenberry in Boone county, son of Thomas Quisenberry, who is a late comer post war but appears related somehow.

Then there is a bunch in Audrain County and if memory serves most of these are related to the Boone's.

I also have a William Quisenberry in Purcell's company Co L 1st NE Cav. roster which likely is Clifton William Quisenberry, point of our search.

Prather and Asbury are common maiden names associated with the Quisenberry men in and around Hallsville. I'll figure it out eventually.
