I have two other more general questions you might know the answer to!
1. I have reason to believe one of my Texas ancestors enlisted twice. Is that even possible? I can only find one set of records on him beginning in 1862 but his personal biographical information shows serving with a different group from 1861 and part of 62. I’m wondering how I can find the first one if he did serve (I have the details but no documentation to verify it.)
2. I have two Texas prisoners of war who were exchanged. I can’t find any records of further service although I know many pows went on to serve in other units. Does a lack of records generally indicate that they did not serve somewhere else?
