I want to thank Bruce for the post re: Samuel T Williams service. He is my great grandfather. My cousin is responsible for the headstone. Will find out re: 86th. My biggest problem is trying to decipher the last battle listen on his Memorandum of Service. I met with Dan Smith of The Battle of Westport foundation and because of the info in that record we believe he was at least in the Battle of the Big Blue. My cousin is unconvinced
