I've looked at this more in depth, and the 9th MSM had made it from Hunstville to Fayette, and were proceeding from there to Rocheport. So that should narrow the Turner Farm and Long Farm sites down considerably. During a heavy rain the 165 troopers of the 9th MSM had come across the muddy tracks of the seven Confederates and followed them to the Turner Farm. They then rousted the Rebs from a barn, and from there it was a massive one-sided turkey shoot that went from the Turner farm and finally finished at the Long Farm.
