Re: Widow Turner Farm Fight -- O.R.

Widow Turner

With much sleuthing and working on WH Long Family tree I believe I can say with some certainty that Widow Turner was Verlinda Hocker Turner b 7 Sept 1800, d 21 Dec 1874. Daughter of William H Hocker (b 1773 Elliott Mills, Frederick, Maryland d 12 JUL 1849 Howard, Missouri, United States) and Sarah Lawrence Allnutt (b 9 JUL 1775 Frederick, Maryland d 19 NOV 1852 Howard, Missouri )

Verlinda Hocker married James Turner (b 27 MARCH 1799 Kentucky d 26 MAY 1863 Howard County, Missouri) She was the aunt of William Hocker Long. Sister-in-law to Ephram Turner and Edward Turner.

Of course the proof would be a land title search on the 80 acres...
