Anyone heard of this? I assume it was named after the deceased Colonel Emmet MacDonald from Missouri. I found reference to it on the discharge papers for Peter Hanger of the 4th Missouri Cavalry (CSA) from Shannon County, Missouri. The camp appears to have been in Arkansas, and according to his travel pay, approximately 90 miles from his home on Paint Rock Creek. He was discharged April 6, 1863 at this location for disability.
