While I have a complete profile on Thaddeus Justis Stauber (aka T.J. Stauber), chapter and verse on him, his partner-in-controversy and in being provost marshal, and in the newspaper business, O.A.A. Gardner, is a mystery. He pops up like a big flash fire, then nothing. I'm hoping to put something together on him.

I think he was from Laclede County, and that his first name was Obediah. "Think," so don't take that to the bank. His last name was usually spelled Gardner, but sometimes Gardiner or Garner.

Any help sorting out this series of events leading to the Tullahoma executions of the Centralia 13 would be appreciated.
