Note he is listed as brother in law to Allen Parmer. Turns out Sarah Parmer is Kittie Odgen and Allen Parmer was a Quantrill member and married the James brother's sister as his first wife. Any bets that William Odgen cut his teeth in outlawery with Reed and the Andersons in Lafayette Co MO in 1861/62. He would have been 16-18 years old at the time.

Here is Kitty's obit:from:Wichita Falls Times, January 2, 1945, Page 2. via Newspapers.com (https://www.newspapers.com/article/wichita-falls-times-obituary-for-sarah-k/153529166/ : accessed August 18, 2024)

"Widow of Pioneer Wichitan Dies at 88 Mrs. Sarah Katherine Parmer, widow of one of Wichita Falls' pioneer residents, who, during the civil war, helped disperse the Iansas Jayhawkers, died Sunday at the Women's Confederate home in Austin. She was 88. Mrs. Parmer was the second wife of Allan H.Parmer, Confederate soldier who fought under Quantrell's command and who settled near Wichita Falls in the early days. Following their marriage in 1892, the two resided in Archer County near Alpine. Services were held Tuesday at Austin for Mrs. Parmer, Survivors are two step Mrs. Feta Rose of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Zelma Edwards of Santa Cruz, Calif. Parmer's first wife was Miss Susie James, sister of the famous James brothers who reportedly visited in the Parmer home near Wichita Falls while officers searched several states for them."
