Terrible is the only way to describe it.
I have no idea who the Union forces were that burned the house of the
ancestor of the lady that I mentioned earlier. In fact nothing has ever been found in print to prove it. But as she was a fine lady and my daughter's Sunday school teacher, I knew the story to be true.
