There is an area north of Hillsboro close to the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Park this is known to the locals (me being one) as Fort Hill. It has been said that cannon balls and trenches have been found in the area. I can find nothing about this area. Does anyone know the history of Fort Hill in Jefferson County?
