I was hoping you'd weigh-in on my post. I found first, that he had attended a Confederate Veteran's get-together in 1883 in Missouri and then found that he passed away in 1903 in St. Louis. This man and his family was from Loudoun County, VA, so the movement West was quite an undertaking. I was, for some reason, unaware that they relocated to Missouri.
I may not find a pension app for this man, as he and the family were probably not destitute, thank goodness! He and his wife/widow may never have applied for a pension, but I'll keep looking.
