Tom,

Colonel Edmund T. Wingo commanded an infantry regiment (about 300 men strong) in BG James H. McBride's Seventh Division, MSG. They participated in the fighting at Wilson's Creek, Dry Wood, and Lexington. Phelps County fell under the recruiting district for the Seventh Division. I am sure the "Wingo's Division" is either an error in transcription or veteran's recollection.
