Re: 6th MO Cavalry State Militia

Alas, no. It is intereting how I established my ggg grandfather was a member, but that is for another time. Suffice to say, John J. Denton, Company A, died of dysentary in November, 1864, having enlisted at age 42, in 1863. He was from Miller County. He is buried in the National Cemetery at Springfield and I have visited his grave. I would like to find out if there are any Dentons left in Miller County. I live in Oklahoma. My other relative was the brother of a great great great grandmother, on another of my mother's line. I forget his company and first name (I can look it up) but his last name was Phares. He survived the war. Hope this helps. I have Denton's service and pension records. I would be interested in your book!
