Re: Train Unit in the Civil War

Thanks for replying so quickly. I am glad to see that you have a sense of humor. So many people don't anymore.
In 1860 John Woods(Wood) lived in Granby Mo., Newton County, Mo. He and his brother George lived with a family named Jacob Shatley (Shetley). They were miners at that time, I believe. John was born abt 1838 in Ky. I beleive in Barron County. I looked again at the 1890 Veterans Schedules Record and it also looked like it could be Team, except there is a dot over one of the letters. If itis Team, what was there duty? I know there was a Frisco Railroad in Neosho, but I don't know when it was started. If it was Train, what was there duty. Why wouldn't there have been a company? I sure appreciate all the help you are doing. I know his applied for and evidently got a pension, but I don't know if it was him or his widow.
Thanks in advance
Phyllis
