Does anyone have a listing or more complete information for this regiment? I went to the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System and found an "M. Hamilton" listed. My ancestor's name was Meredith Hamilton. He was b ca 1831. He was known to have 4 children with his wife Margaret Wall(s). They married in Polk County MO 17 Aug 1854. The family appeared in Greene County, MO 1860 Census. (Springfield is in Greene County). His last child was born Jan 1861 and his wife was listed as a widow in 1870 census. I have a feeling this M. Hamilton may be my Meredith Hamilton. Any assistance would be appreciated.
