I am searching for some soldiers that were members of Shelby's 6th Mo Cav that seem to disappear during the war years. Their CSR's are vague and only show the most basic information, usually just enlistment data. I have seen some casualty reports from Cane Hill, Prairie Grove, Marks' Mills, Cape Girardeau, Springfield/Hartville, and some additional from Marmaduke's first raid. I have yet to find any from other significant battles such as Helena, Westport, Prairie D'Ann, Poison Spring, etc.

Did Shelby's regiments provide casualty reports for these battles? I understand that many of their record books were destroyed, so that may be the problem. Does anyone know if the Supplement to the Official Records contains any casualty reports not included elsewhere?
