Re: Where was "Dick" Yager killed?

Marian and Rose,

Back on March 7 (I think it was), when I responded to the question of the circumstances of Dick Yeager (or Yager's) death I said the Flannery family in exile hid him out until Union troops found him in hiding and killed him. This did NOT take place in New Franklin, south Howard County, but in the vicinity of New Frankfort, northeast Saline County, on the south side of the Missouri River. I do not know if anyone subsequently reburied Dick's remains anywhere else, but that is possible, especially given his family's means and influence.

Sadly, there is no mention of his final resting place in either of the volumes of guerrilla burial places by Duncan Hansen.

Is it possible that Dick's remains are still in northeast Saline County near where he was killed?
