Can anyone tell me what Union regiment Jacob Ayers Hoover belonged to? He was born in Muskingum, Ohio in Jan. 1842, but I believe he was living in Pattonsburg, Missouri (Daviess Co.) at the time of the war. He married a widowed Virginian in 1864, and I'm trying to track down where that happened.
