Jerry Ponder uses the same "truth" lines, yet from the books of his I've had, his writing is not fit for the bottom of a bird cage. He, like Don, writes Southern revisionist history.

A pity that you haven't quoted Don's ridiculous attempts to excuse atrocities as "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" and other tripe.

These claims that mainstream historians are all a bunch of yanks, and there is no objectivity are 100% BS. People like Don should be ashamed, because his tone does nothing to help uncover the truth. Instead he's placed himself on one shrill extreme.

This is the depressing side of Civil War history, authors who are unable to set aside their personal views long enough to write a BALANCED history rather than a JUSTIFICATION argument. It deserves condemnation rather than praise.
