Steve, I have done some land title searches in Newton County prior to the war. I was curious just how much land that Livingston owned. One of the interesting things I discovered was that Livingston owned a fair piece of the lead mines at Granby northwest of Newtonia. Additionally a couple of sections of his land bordered the Britton farm (Wiley Brittons father) which may lead to an explanation why Brittons father had troubles with Livingston and Coffee.
