It is also worth noting that there was a federal cemetery at Cassville, moved after the war to the National Cemetery at Springfield. A list of burials does not show any great activity in October or November, 1862. Even if the dead from a skirmish were buried where they fell, the wounded would probably have gone to Cassville. You will notice a great number of burials in April and May 1862, which marked the passing of wounded from the Battle of Pea Ridge.
