Fight at Tipton,MO

Paul Petersen in his book "Quantrill of Missouri" @ p368 makes the following statement, without citation of source, as to events in September or early October, 1864: Todd's forty men and Poole's thirty men together attacked the Federal garrison in Tipton and killed its garrison of forty militiamen. Leaving Moniteau County, the guerillas next raided the town of Boonville in Cooper County. (end quote) Does anyone have any additional information regarding this incident, including the name of the federal unit and names of those killed? Was this related to the burning of the Pacific Railroad bridge across the Lamine River at nearby Otterville? Many thanks.
