I was looking for biographical information about Maj. Gustavus Lightfoot who died in the Vicksburg Campaign in 1863. He has a relief dedicated to him in the Vicksburg National Military Park, which was given by Sgt. Major E.P. Reichhelm of the 3rd Infantry. I can find very little to no information about his life before the war. Anything would be helpful. Thanks
