Thank you for that information and clarification. I don't have the printed volume on the session, just a copy of the Act that runs 80 pages (with Sec. 135 on page 40.) It is interesting that they slipped back into using the term "Militia" rather than the State Guard--old names die hard.

Since it sounds like you have access to the original Act, was I correct about it authorizing nine districts? Did the state govt. pass some sort of resolution to wait on organizing the 9th District (for pragmatic reasons) or was that left to Price's discretion?
