Thanks Don. I have written to find out where that information came from. So many people have looked for Dick Yager's grave over the years without success that I would like to see some solid evidence that he is really in the Confederate Cemetery. Dick Yager was Margaret Watts Hays mother's nephew and I would have expected her to write about his reburial to her, but she did not or the letter has been lost. She did write that they planned to bury Dick in the Confederate Cemetery but whe she wrote about the ceremonies and parade that celebrated the opening of the Byran's Ford/Self Schoolhouse Cemetery Yager is not mentioned. He is also not mentioned in the 1911 Kansas City Star article about the Confederate burials. (See Letter 81 and Footnote 23).
