Lee: I would surmise that the battery consisted in large part of Missourians. Bledsoe organized a battery for service in the Missouri State Guard that fought through the Pea Ridge Campaign. It mustered into Confederate service at Memphis after following Van Dorn across the Mississippi. Not too long after entering Confederate service, another State Guard battery (Tull's) consolidated with Bledsoe's. No doubt some men from other Confederate states joined the battery at times, but I do believe that Missourians made up the bulk of Bledsoe's unit.
