Re: Jasper & Lucinda Kissee Family/Massacre Death

Sharon -- Thank you very much for your 2 messages regarding my KISSEE queries. My KISSEE family lineage comes from my great grandmother (LUCINDA TRANQUILLA KISSEE). Her father was ROBERT CLINTON KISSEE, b. 1822 & d. 1890 in MO. (trying to locate his parents) & her mother was CATHERINE I. DUMMIT (b. abt. 1825 & d. 1898 in MO.) My great grandmother, LUCINDA TRANQUILLA KISSEE, married NATHANIEL LYON MCKINNEY & they moved to California & had a farm in Madera, California.

I realize that JASPER KISSEE & his family are related to me in some way. I have a feeling that the KISSEE families were "torn apart" (as were many families) during the Civil War period of our history.

I can share some KISSEE history that I have researched, etc. If you give me your e-mail address, I will send this information to you.

Again, thank you for responding to my query & good luck with your family research.
